Wilkinson Financial Management proudly served as the headline sponsor for the Seashell Charity Golf Day on 5th September 2024.
The event attracted almost 100 local business professionals and golf enthusiasts who engaged in a challenging 18-hole course, Beat the Pro contest and raffle activities, all aimed at raising money for Seashell.
Once again, the Golf Day was held at the prestigious Wilmslow Golf Club, a long-standing supporter of the event for over 28 years.
Attendees also enjoyed a delightful brunch and a two-course dinner, followed by an Awards Ceremony announcing the top teams.
An impressive £15,087.10 was raised for Seashell, a renowned national charity dedicated to assisting children and young adults with complex learning disabilities. The organisation is devoted to empowering students to lead independent, secure, and fulfilling lives.
Seashell offers specialised education at its outstanding school and special needs college as well as residential and respite care services. The funds raised will contribute to providing first-rate facilities and life experiences for students.
Richard Wilkinson, the Founder of Wilkinson Financial Management, expressed his appreciation, stating: “We are honoured to support Seashell in their fundraising endeavours. For us, it’s both a chance to contribute to an incredible charity and an opportunity to collaborate with the local community.”
Lorna Thompson, Event Fundraiser at Seashell, conveyed her gratitude to all involved, remarking: "Seashell Golf Day is always one of the highlights of our event calendar, and we are delighted that this year's event is sponsored by Wilkinson Financial Management. 22 teams will take to the stunning course at Wilmslow Golf Club, with the halfway house generously sponsored by JW Lees. All money raised will go towards transforming the young lives of those with the most complex disabilities. A huge thank you to our sponsors and team for their continue support.”
