Wilkinson Financial Management invests in young national league basketball players
We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of Congleton Grizzlies Youth Basketball team.
The partnership will provide new kits for the under 16’s national league team, fostering both athleticism and financial education in the community.
The sponsorship aligns with our mission to give back to the local community, close to where our employees live and work. The striking, newly designed navy and aqua kits feature the Wilkinson Wealth Managements logo.
Congleton Grizzlies (U16’s) debuted their new kits in Congleton on Sunday 10th November 2024 where they played against Manchester Giants Blue. Despite it not being a victory for the Grizzlies, the team put on a great performance and the match was well attended by local supporters who cheered them on.
“We believe that investing in our youth is essential for building strong communities,” said Richard Wilkinson Founder of Wilkinson Wealth Management.
“By sponsoring Congleton Grizzlies, we not only support the clubs athletic endeavours but also their quest to encourage young players to develop important life and social skills.”
In addition to sponsoring the team, Wilkinson Financial Management plans to provide a range of financial literacy to the club aimed at both the players and their families. These materials will cover essential topics such as saving and investments as well as retirement and inheritance tax planning.

Based in the heart of the town, Congleton Grizzlies Basketball Club is dedicated to youth basketball. Their goal is to develop high level basketball and social skills amongst players. They offer sessions from u8s all the way to seniors for both male and female players.
